Ashamed of The Good News?

In the world we live in today, people want to water down the intensity of the gospel at all cost. It is so sad that even Christians do not want to stand up for what they believe. Servants that are ashamed of their Master. They don't want to appear fanatic so they hide under the cover of being liberal. And there is only one reason for this.

The desire to be accepted by the world.

They forget that friendship with the world is enmity with God. They forget that in this case, you truly cannot eat your cake and have it. You must choose who you will serve. Your loyalty can only be to one side of the divide- God or the world. There is no room for dilution here. You are either white or black; there is no room for greys- no mixing of the white and the black.

Remember I talked about what the Good News is about some days back? It's no other than Jesus Christ Himself.  He is the same yesterday, today and forever. This means that He fits perfectly into every era of human existence. He can never be outdated. That is to say that trying to twist the message of the cross supposedly to fit into the sophistication of our modern world is just a strategy of the devil to manipulate God's children. No one can help God. There is nothing like trying to fit Jesus into a creature-designed picture. He is PERFECT.

Are you ashamed of the most important personality in heaven and earth?  (Whether subtly or aggressively). You are courting trouble.

Check this out-

If anyone is ashamed of me and my message in these adulterous and sinful days, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”
(Mark 8:38 NLT)

Need I say more?

For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. (Romans 1:16 NLT)

I really want to be like Apostle Paul, being able to declare with all conviction my total allegiance to my Lord Jesus without the fear of rejection by the world. What about you?

Stand up for Jesus, friends!
