Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse will not land on its intended victim. Prov 26v2 (NLT)
This verse is very explicit. You do not need to fear any curse as long as you do not deserve it. That curse cannot rest on you if you are innocent. There are however several things to watch out for. This is not about being negative; it is what is clearly stated in the Bible. ‘The LORD is slow to anger and filled with unfailing love, forgiving every kind of sin and rebellion. But he does not excuse the guilty. (‘The LORD is slow to anger and filled with unfailing love, forgiving every kind of sin and rebellion. But he does not excuse the guilty- Num 14v18a). You could be deserving of curses if you offend the following.
1. GOD- YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER: But you will be cursed if you reject the commands of the LORD your God and turn away from him and worship gods you have not known before. (Deut 11v28). If you disobey His commandments, He will punish. You are beckoning on curses i
●You engage in idolatry (Deut 27v15). If you exalt any other person or thing above God, you are inviting curses to yourself.
●You are a thief (Deut27v17)- if you take whatever is not yours, you are cursed. If you forcefully take anything, or you pick thinks from your place of work that were not released to you, you are signing up for trouble.
●You are deceitful and misleading (Deut 27v18)- if you deceive or mislead the blind(physically blind spiritually blind or the ignorant), you are playing with fire. This might look trivial but it is a serious matter. A common example is telling someone who asks you for direction to go the opposite way. Let's be careful.
●You deny someone justice (Deut 27v19)- if God has placed you in a position of authority, use the position correctly. Don't oppress those that are at your mercy simply because you don't like them or because they are not in your 'click'. If your friend is the one that is wrong, tell him he is wrong. Don't manipulate judgement.
●You engage in sexual sin(s) (Deut 27v20-23)- any form of sexual sin (fornication, adultery, homosexualism, bestialism, incest, etc) brings curses upon man. Beware

●You are a murderer (Deut 27v25)- "thou shall not kill!" Don't kill another person's vision, don't kill another person's chances of being successful,...by your manipulation.
●You close your eyes to the needs of the poor (Prov 28v27)- do not ignore the under-privileged. Be sensitive to their needs and help them when you have the ability to. God has blessed you so that you can be a blessing!

●You are a Hypocrite (Is 65v1-7)- stop the 'holier than thou' attitude. Stop living double lives. Be plain before the Lord. Stop deceiving yourself.
●You are a covenant breaker (Jer11v3)- be a man/woman of your word! Fulfill your vows. Fulfill your part of the covenant you make with God or man.
●You are a cheat (Mal1v14)- you will be cheating yourself indirectly if you continue to cheat because the blessing you should have received if you had not cheated will be cut down or stopped. Stop cheating your customers, workers, employers,...Remember, you can not cheat God. He sees everything you are hiding. Remember Ananias and his wife (Sapphira)!

●You preach things contrary to the Word of God or uphold false doctrines (Gal1v8-9)- someone might actually be falling into error without taking note. Let the Word of God ONLY, be your standard and God Himself- your examiner.
●You don't love the Lord (1Cor 16v22)- I will like to take a pause on this point. If you love God, you will obey His commandment. Disobeying the Lord causes curses to migrate towards you(Deut 28v15-45). Love the Lord and Live!
2. YOUR BIOLOGICAL PARENT: ‘Cursed is anyone who dishonors father or mother.’
And all the people will reply, ‘Amen.’ (Deut 27v16).
Do not dishonour your parents. Make sure not to insult them. Dishonouring one's parent is a capital offense. As a matter of fact, in the old testament, the death penalty was the punishment for dishonoring a parent (Ex21v27).
No matter what achievement you might have made or had, give your parent the honour they deserve. Long and short of this- Honour your parent!
