Openess In Marriage

A marriage has to be built on a love-based commitment. 'Perfect love casts out fear' (1Jn. 4:8). You can't risk hiding something important from your spouse, thinking, -f I share that, he'll reject me! When you do that, your relationship is controlled by fear, not love.

Being 'Naked and not ashamed' is God's intention for marriage. When love encounters the other's mistake, it says, "I embrace you. I receive you. I accept you. I cherish you. And, yes, I forgive you.

You might need to pray for grace to be absolutely open and pray same for your spouse, that he'll not be able to hide anything from you. Practice openness. Do it with the little things, then, being open about the 'big' things won't be difficult.
